Puerto Plata is a city in the Dominican Republic with a population of about 130,000 residents and is the capital of the province of Puerto Plata. Famous for many things including golden sandy beaches, it is a very popular holiday destination because of the hospitality of the Dominican people, local shops and lush beaches. Getting here by plane; you will enter the Gregorio Luperón International Airport; flights are frequent from most North American cities.
