Location. The Hotel Zoo Berlin, set in a historical Jugendstil building and a hotel since 1911, is located on the Kurfrstendamm shopping boulevard with several theatres, restaurants, and museums in the immediate vicinity. The nearest airport is Berlin Tegel (TXL), nine kilometres away, around 20 minutes by car. Hotel Features. Through the wall to wall windows of the first floor G Lounge, guests can watch shoppers on the Kurfrstendamm below. The G Lounge is open 24 hours and serves cocktails and snacks to guests reclining on leather armchairs and sofas. The lounge is filled with ambient music and guests can use the wireless Internet facility to plan a day's sightseeing. From the U Bahn station Augsburger Strasse, 500 metres from the hotel, guests can take the U3 metro to Krumme Lanke, and walk down to the crystal clear lake located on the edge of the Grnewald. There are small beaches along the lake for swimming in summer, while in winter it often freezes over, providing ideal conditions for ice skating.
